Uploading or Managing Files with EasyDeploy FileManager

Kloudbean introduced a default File managing service named EasyDeploy in order to make it convenient for its users to;

1. Add new files to the server.
2. Edit, Update or Delete existing files.
3. Upload static files or Artifacts to the server.
4. Add new files like environments file.

Where you don't want to go through the tedious of accessing server through SSH or SFTP tools like FileZilla.

Accessing FileManager from Kloudbean console

In order to access FileManager, click on LAUNCH FILE MANAGER button in Deploy Code tab of your application. It will take you to the FileManager UI using SSO.

By default you will land on application source code directory where code is present. However you can navigate to any other directory. In order to visit other root directories, you can click on app-system-name in the directory path, it will take you to main app root directory.

Here you can multiple directories

1. app-html contains application artifacts which are served from webserver (nginx).
2. app-logs is the directory contain all the application related logs.
3. react-src is application source code directory.

Creating New Folder or Directory using FileManager

Once on FileManager UI, we can perform all the operation on file and folder.

If we need to create New folder, simply click on New folder from left menu and enter folder name. similarly we can create New file as well.

If we need to Edit a file name, click on pen icon in the top menu.

Similar in order to edit a file, just double click on respective file and file will open in an editor, where we can make changes and then save the file.

Enabling or Disbaling FileManager on Server.

Kloudbean offer a control over FileManager service where you can enable or disable it if required in order to mitigate any security threat.

Simply click on Toggle available in Access-control section of FileManager.
